Knicks Host 10th Annual Knicks Kids Day at Madison Square Garden

NEW YORK, December 2, 2009 – The New York Knicks invite the next generation of Knicks fans to a day of fun and entertainment at Madison Square Garden. The team’s annual “Knicks Kids Day” is set to celebrate its 10th year of excitement in the Expo Center on Sunday, Dec. 6. The day will include interactive games on the Knicks sport court, carnival games, basketball arcade games and the chance to win tons of prizes. All kids and families will be entertained by the Seventh Avenue Squad and performances from the Knicks City Kids. The Knicks City Dancers will also be on hand for an autograph session.
. This year’s “Knicks Kids Day” special guests include the KIDZ BOP Kids, a group of five talented young performers from across the country. KIDZ BOP is the #1 music brand for kids ages 5-12 in the U.S. and features today’s biggest hits sung by kids for kids. The KIDZ BOP Kids will be on hand to give a special performance, sign autographs and meet with fans. There will also be a KIDZ BOP themed Karaoke booth for fans to sing along to their favorite songs.
During the Knicks game there will be a number of specific entertainment elements geared towards children, beginning with a special guest National Anthem singer, KIDZ BOP’s first original artist, Sinai Rose. Sinai is a 12-year old singer songwriter and New York native. Sinai’s first single titled “LOL” is a featured track on KIDZ BOP 16, which debuted at #8 on the Billboard Charts this summer. The KIDZ BOP 16 CD will be distributed in the Expo Center during “Knicks Kids Day”. Crowd favorite Steve Max “Simon Sez” will be performing at halftime.
